The PCC pro­grams you attend, the speak­ers and peers you meet, the com­mu­ni­ca­tions you receive and so much more… it’s all pos­si­ble through the time and tal­ents of PCC mem­bers who serve on our committees.

Serv­ing on a PCC com­mit­tee is a great way to con­tribute to the field and Chicago’s PR/communications indus­try. It’s also one of the best ways to get the most out of your mem­ber­ship through net­work­ing, cre­at­ing edu­ca­tion oppor­tu­ni­ties and employ­ment leads, and devel­op­ing long-term pro­fes­sional relationships.

Com­mu­ni­ca­tions

What we do: Develop and man­age PCC com­mu­ni­ca­tions includ­ing news, pro­gram and event pub­lic­ity, our social media pres­ences and Web communications.

Mem­ber Eligibility

Dave Smolen­sky and David Brimm, Chairs
What we do: Review PCC mem­ber­ship appli­ca­tions to the Board of Direc­tors to ensure that new mem­bers meet PCC mem­ber­ship eli­gi­bil­ity require­ments.

Edu­ca­tion Series

Open, Co-Chair
What we do: Develop and orga­nize pro­fes­sional devel­op­ment courses, recruit speak­ers and coor­di­nate logis­tics and pub­lic­ity for the annual PCC Edu­ca­tion Series.

Golden Trum­pet Awards

What we do: Coor­di­nate PCC’s annual Golden Trum­pets Awards Pro­gram, from devel­op­ing pub­lic­ity and call for entries mate­ri­als to coor­di­nat­ing judg­ing and the awards luncheon.

Mem­ber­ship

David Brimm and Luke Cush­man, Chairs 

What we do: Develop and coor­di­nate PCC mem­ber­ship recruit­ment and reten­tion out­reach at pro­grams and through­out the year, and coor­di­nate PCC’s par­tic­i­pa­tion with the annual Acronym Bash for Chicago’s PR, mar­ket­ing and adver­tis­ing industries.
