Eligibility
Publicity Club of Chicago membership is open to those who devote the majority of their time to public relations as defined by:
- Determining public opinion.
- Counseling management on communication activities.
- Conducting communications programs other than sales, marketing and product/service advertising to positively affect public opinion and/or policy.
- Managing related personnel and resources.
Types of Membership
Resident Membership
- Open to any person who meets eligibility requirements.
- Entitles you to full membership benefits, including voting privileges and eligibility to hold office.
- Annual dues $250 (one year) or $475 (two years—save $25).
- One-time $35 application fee for first-time applicants. Past PCC members, re-apply for membership by Sept. 3 and we’ll waive the $35 new member fee.
Young Professionals Membership
- Open to any person who meets eligibility requirements but has completed less than two years in the profession.
- Entitles you to full membership benefits and privileges except to vote and hold office.
- Associate membership is limited to two years.
- Annual dues $150 (one year) or $275 (two years—save $25). NEW PRICE
- One-time $35 application fee for first-time applicants.
Student Membership
- Open to any full-time undergraduate student majoring in communications, journalism, public relations or English who has completed two full years of college education.
- Entitles you to most membership benefits and privileges. Student members are not eligible to vote, hold office or receive a copy of the PCC media guide and membership directory.
- Annual dues $75 (one year) or $125 (two years—save $25).
- No application fee.
Lifetime Membership
- Open to any person who has been an active PCC member in good standing for 25 or more years.
- Entitles you to full membership benefits, including voting privileges and eligibility to hold office.
- Annual dues $100 (one year) or $175 (two years—save $75).
Corporate Membership
- Open to any person whose company provides public relations, marketing, advertising, and/or integrated communications services or maintains a 35 percent or more client representation in these areas.
- Entitles you to all rights and privileges of the club including voting and holding office.
- Three levels of corporate membership and benefits are available at annual dues levels of $500, $1,000 and $2,000. Learn more!
- All employees get the member rate for PCC luncheons (no limit)
Professional Supplier Membership
- Open to any person whose company provides services to the public relations field, maintaining a minimum 35 percent client representation in the public relations, marketing, advertising and/or integrated communications fields.
- Entitles you to full membership benefits and privileges and a special listing in the “Professional Supplier” section of the PCC media guide and membership directory.
- Annual dues $275 (one year) or $525 (two years—save $75).
- As part of your Professional Supplier Membership, up to three additional members of your organization can join PCC at the regular resident membership fee of $225 each. Membership is transferable.
Young Professionals Group
- Free membership for qualifying PCC members

- The first-time application fee does not apply to students or additional memberships for individuals with an organization that holds corporate or professional supplier membership.
- NEW: A Payment Plan is available– 50% initial payment and 50% final payment sixty days later. Payment will have to be made by credit card and 2nd payment will be charged automatically
